Rob Kwik - Biography
DJ/Producer/Artist/Dezigner/Bboy Rob Kwik (Dirt Assasinz/Breakbeat Collective) has been, and continues to be an integral
part of the underground breaks movement since 1995. His eclectic mix of funky-electro-breaks sparks energy on dance floors far and wide.
At an early age, Rob Kwik’s desire and love for music began when he starting playing piano, the trumpet, other various
brass instruments and drums. This sparked a life long journey into music,which it was later in 1997 Rob Kwik moved his way onto the turntables.
Since 1992, Rob Kwik has been involved in the Hip Hop Elements, starting with Graffiti, rocking walls all across Texas.
He then started his own graf crew: TDKC (The Downest Krew Created) with fellow member Klaro, which was from Cannabis Tribe at the time. Rob later began to Breakdance with CFK/STK crew in 1995.
In 1998, Rob Kwik moved to Arizona from Texas to continue his Art studies in Phoenix.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications with a Design Major. He now works as a Graphic Design Engineer as a day job and gets down on the music and design for his label in his spare time.
Rob Kwik continues to further develop these elements with The Dirt Assasinz Crew,
rocking events all across the globe.
They have put together events such as Breakbeat Sessionz, a monthy Bboy battle with cash and prizes for the winner
featuring special guests each month, Spinergy, Full Moon Gatherings, Ouch That Hurt, Recycle Your Wax, Desert Sessionz &
MasquerAID to name a few. They have also collaborated with events such as: Atlantis, EarthDance, When Machines Ruled
the World Music Festival, Unity06 (series of 6 events), Enchantment, Fusion Music Festival, Megatronix, Mary X-mas plus many others.
Rob Kwik & The Dirt Assasinz Crew have been part of many charity events which includes The Red Cross, Arizona Food Bank, Begin Again Foundation and
The Susan G. Kommen Breast Cancer Foundation. Dirt Assasinz have also been
sponsored by companies such as: Coca Cola, Redbull, Sobe, Energy 92.7
& The Phoenix New Times.
Founder and Creator of The Dirt Assasinz Embassy, Rob Kwik has developed a crew of
like-minded & positive individuals
that network together and live within art and music. The Dirt Assasinz was first created in 1999, specializing in Music, Dimension & Dezign. DA crew offer services such as:
Graphic Dezign, Pro-Audio (Sound & Stage Production), Music
Engineering, they also have a roster of DJs spinning Breaks, House, Progressive &
Drum n Bass. Rob Kwik has developed 2 clothing
labels as well, D.A. INK (2004) and D.A. P.INK, dezigning urban
style goods for all types, demographics & styles. DA Entertainment
is an additional branch that networks with various promoters & formulates music and art events, featuring artists from all over the world.
In 2006 alone, Rob Kwik has performed at internationally acclaimed events such as:
Spring Break (Rocky Point, Mexico),
Earthdance (Tucson, AZ), When Machines Ruled the World, Unity 2-5 (Phoenix, AZ), Fusion Music Festival (Phoenix, AZ), and
Recycle Your Wax (Scottsdale, AZ) to name a few. Additionally, Rob Kwik has spun at such world-renowned clubs such as
Paradise Beach Club (Rocky Point, Mexico), Myst Night Club (Scottsdale, AZ), Opium Lounge (Scottsdale, AZ), M3 (Scottsdale, AZ), Freedom (Tempe, AZ),
Sake Bomber’s Lounge (Tempe, AZ) plus a hand full of local bars and underground music events.
Furthermore, Rob Kwik organized, designed, performed, managed, and promoted MasquerAid 2006 (Phoenix, AZ), a 12-hour
music and art driven event featuring a Breakdance exhibition, Acrobatics,
Graffiti Exhibition,
5 International known Headliners plus 30 local artists benefiting the Susan G. Kommen Breast Cancer Foundation and Begin Again Foundation.
Rob Kwik’s ultimate goal is to spread Peace, Love & Unity through Music and the
